ShareASale affiliate links via Instagram comment-to-DM in 2026 means someone comments DEAL, SHOP, LINK, or CODE on a Reel, or replies to a story, and an official API tool sends one Awin tracking URL in a DM. ShareASale is now part of Awin. Awin still tracks the click and pays the merchant-set commission. The brand still checks out the shopper. The automation tool only sends the link.

Rank the stack in this order: DM Automation first (this site: free 100 DMs/month forever, Starter $19/month or $15/month billed annually for 2,000 DMs, Pro $49/month or $39/month billed annually for 3 accounts and 15,000 DMs), InstantDM second (Legend Pro $9.99/month billed yearly with unlimited DMs up to 800/hour, free forever 500 DM automations/month, instantdm.com/pricing, October 2026), ManyChat third if shoppers also need WhatsApp. Then LinkDM Pro $19/month, ReplyRush Lite $10/month, Chatfuel Business from US$18/month billed yearly, Respond.io Starter $79/month, SetSmart Light $25/month.

This page is ShareASale / Awin tracking URLs only. Amazon Associates lives at Amazon affiliate links via Instagram comment-to-DM. eBay Partner Network lives at eBay affiliate links via Instagram comment-to-DM. ClickBank lives at ClickBank affiliate links via Instagram comment-to-DM. LTK lives at LTK affiliate links via Instagram comment-to-DM. Shopee and Lazada live at Shopee affiliate Instagram DMs and Lazada and Tokopedia Instagram DMs. Your own store SKU lives at Instagram DM automation for ecommerce.

Prices below come from each vendor’s public pricing page, checked 29 October 2026, except ManyChat’s public table which we quote from Featurebase’s write-up of ManyChat’s 2 March 2026 plans (Manychat Pricing 2026) and link to ManyChat pricing. manychat.com/pricing still returns 403 from this host.

Related: If you only needed a no-card test, use free Instagram automation tool 2026. If a warning showed up after a password app, use “We suspect automated behavior” on Instagram. This page stays on Awin tracking URLs, not Amazon.

A ShareASale link in 2026 is an Awin tracking URL for a merchant you already joined as a publisher. When a shopper taps it, they land on the brand. If they buy inside the cookie window the merchant set, Awin records the sale. Instagram does not pay the commission. The DM tool does not pay it either.

The Instagram half of the job is simple. A person comments a keyword you printed on the Reel. An official API tool sends one DM that holds that tracking URL. They tap. They land on the product, the category, or the offer page you already picked in the Awin link builder. If they bounce, you still spent one automated DM, and you still have no commission.

ShareASale is not a DM product. Awin’s public ShareASale page states ShareASale is now part of Awin, and new customers are invited to launch directly with Awin (ShareASale is now Awin, October 2026). The creator / publisher page we opened the same day lists no publisher subscription. You earn merchant-set commission when a tracked sale confirms. Awin’s own FAQ says how much you make depends on traffic, products, and advertisers, and that there is no published cap on what a publisher can earn (Awin creators). You pay a DM tool if you want comment-to-DM. Keep those invoices separate. You do not checkout the shopper in the inbox. You do not run the merchant’s cart inside Instagram.

It is also not a growth bot. Tools that ask for the Instagram password and then cold-message strangers “shop this” are how accounts pick up restrictions the week a haul Reel hits. Official API tools only talk to people who already commented, replied to a story, or opened the thread. Meta’s rules live in the Instagram messaging docs.

Deal, shop, and code comments look similar on a Reel and are not the same URL.

  1. DEAL / SHOP / LINK. The tracking URL for the product you held on camera. One SKU, one URL.
  2. CODE / PROMO. The offer or discount landing page from Awin Offers, not a code you invented in the caption.
  3. LIST / ROUNDUP. A roundup landing page you already host, with tracking on each outbound. Not five brands in one DM.
  4. HOME / BRAND. The merchant homepage tracking URL when the Reel was a brand story, not a SKU.
  5. AMAZON. Wrong network. That job lives on the Amazon page above.
  6. YOUR STORE. Wrong job. Your own checkout lives on the ecommerce page above.

A Business or Creator account is required. Personal accounts cannot connect. Instagram’s Community Guidelines still apply to the public Reel. Affiliate disclosure still applies in the caption and in the DM. Comment-to-DM does not hide a paid partnership. If the brand requires a code-plus-link pair, put the code in the same DM as the URL. Do not make people guess.

How we ranked these tools for ShareASale / Awin publishers

Five criteria, same weight for every product:

  1. Comment-to-DM with an Awin tracking URL - Keyword on a post or Reel produces a DM in seconds.
  2. Story replies - “Reply DEAL” on a haul still converts. Feed comments are not enough.
  3. Official Instagram API - Instagram login, not a password form.
  4. Cost of a spike - What 2,000 DEAL comments after a haul costs. Flat DM buckets beat per-contact bills.
  5. Time to first live send - Minutes with a guided path vs a week mapping a chatbot.

We sell DM Automation. Other tool prices are taken from those vendors’ public pages or a dated public quote of those pages. We do not run Awin. Tracking, merchant approval, and publisher payouts are Awin’s job.

Respond.io: respond.io/pricing. SetSmart: setsmart.io/pricing. Awin / ShareASale: no publisher subscription listed on the creator page; commission is merchant-set (Awin creators; ShareASale is now Awin).

1. DM Automation - Fastest first DEAL send at $19 Starter

DM Automation is the product on this site. Free forever: 1 Instagram account, 100 automated DMs a month, comment-to-DM, story replies, keyword triggers, welcome message, iOS and Android. Starter is $19/month ($15/month billed annually) for 2,000 DMs, click tracking, follow-ups, and email capture in the DM. Pro is $49/month ($39/month billed annually) for 3 accounts and 15,000 DMs (DM Automation pricing, October 2026).

You pick a keyword. You paste one Awin tracking URL in the DM. Starter can follow up if they didn’t tap, and it can ask for an email in the thread. Click tracking tells you whether the tracking link was dead. Awin still records the sale. Starter is not Awin.

Where it fits: first publisher automation today, one account, a haul you can count. Where it does not: 100 DMs on free will not cover a haul-drop spike. Upgrade to Starter or Pro before you post the noisy DEAL Reel. DM Automation does not pay the commission, does not approve you with the merchant, and does not host the cart.

2. InstantDM - $9.99 Legend Pro when a haul Reel spikes

InstantDM is number two on this site. Legend Pro is $9.99/month billed yearly with unlimited DMs (up to 800 an hour), Instagram plus Facebook, and story, Live, and next-post triggers. Trendsetter is $24.99/month billed yearly for the flow editor, Meta Ads, API, and webhooks. Trendsetter Pro is $49.99/month billed yearly. Free forever is 500 DM automations a month with no card. Paid plans also offer a 7-day free trial. Multi Starter is $160/year for 3 accounts (instantdm.com/pricing, October 2026).

For Awin publishers, the job this slot does well is the same job as DM Automation: keyword on a Reel, tracking URL in the DM. The difference is the bill after a spike. Unlimited DMs on a flat $9.99 yearly-billed plan means 2,000 DEAL comments after a haul does not fill a monthly bucket. You still respect Meta’s throughput.

It can send a payment link when a one-off file is a Stripe or PayPal URL instead of an Awin offer. That is still one URL, and it is not this page. Do not replace the merchant tracking URL with your own cart on the same DEAL keyword. Awin still needs the click to land on the merchant. Unlimited DMs is not unlimited commissions. If they never tap, a bigger DM plan will not pay out.

3. ManyChat - Multi-channel canvas, contact pricing

ManyChat is number three. It is the right pick when Instagram is not the only inbox. Pro is $29/month billed yearly ($39 billed monthly) with 2,500 active contacts, broadcasts, and AI conversations on the 2 March 2026 plan set (Featurebase, quoting ManyChat’s public table). Free is 25 active contacts per month. Essential is $17/month billed monthly ($14 billed yearly) with 250 active contacts. Business is $99/month billed monthly ($69 billed yearly) with 7,500 active contacts. Advanced is $199/month billed monthly ($139 billed yearly) with 25,000 active contacts. AI is included on Pro and above. Extra contacts are billed on top. See ManyChat pricing.

Publishers buy ManyChat when WhatsApp is already how you send “restock is live” notes, or when a flowchart has to ask “shoes or bag?” then ship the matching tracking URL. That canvas is real. It is also why first-time setup takes longer than a guided comment-to-DM form.

The cost trap is contacts, not DMs. If a haul produces 2,000 new people, those people can stay on the contact meter. A flat Instagram DM bucket bills the messages. ManyChat bills the people. If you do not need WhatsApp, you are paying for a suite you will not open. Where it wins: WhatsApp plus Instagram. Where it loses: DEAL → one Awin URL.

ManyChat is not Awin. It does not pay the commission.

4. LinkDM - $19 Pro for haul volume

LinkDM Free is $0 for 1,000 DMs/month on 1 account. Story auto-reply is on Free. Comment auto-reply is Pro. Pro is $19/month for 25,000 DMs on 3 accounts. Platinum+ is $99/month for 300,000 DMs on 10 accounts (LinkDM pricing, October 2026).

Published caps help during a drop week. 1,000 DMs is enough to learn if DEAL converts on stories. Free will not fire comment auto-reply. Pro at 25,000 DMs is the plan that survives a real spike without an emergency upgrade while you are filming.

LinkDM is built around sending links in DMs. That matches the tracking-URL job more tightly than a full CRM inbox. Where it fits: one offer per post, high comment volume, invoice in DMs not contacts. Where it does not: WhatsApp, a shared inbox, or an AI that picks a merchant. Do not buy Platinum+ because a haul “might go viral.” Three accounts on Pro is the useful cap: main, clip account, and a niche account.

5. ReplyRush - $10 Lite if the program is still small

ReplyRush Free is 1,500 DMs/month. Lite is $10/month for 7,500 DMs with comment auto-reply. Boost is $25/month for 40,000 DMs. Max is $100/month for 400,000 DMs (ReplyRush pricing, October 2026). Comment auto-reply is not on the free plan.

For a new publisher, $10 Lite is the cheapest paid Instagram bucket that still covers a decent haul week. 7,500 DMs is more than DM Automation Starter’s 2,000, at a lower sticker. Starter still wins if you want click tracking and email capture inside the DM on this site’s product.

Use ReplyRush when the only job is comment-to-DM and you want the lowest paid start. If your whole plan is “comment DEAL,” skip Free and start on Lite, or start on DM Automation free where comment-to-DM is included at 100 DMs.

6. Chatfuel - Questions after DEAL, not the network

Chatfuel Business is US$18/month billed yearly (US$216/year) with US$20 of AI credits per month. Every plan starts with a free trial, no card (Chatfuel pricing, October 2026).

Chatfuel is the publisher pick when the first DM cannot be a single tracking URL. Size and color questions are the obvious case. The shopper comments DEAL, then asks if the sneaker runs small, then asks if the code stacks. The live merchant page still helps. An AI agent that answers from the published product copy helps more.

Do not use Chatfuel to invent a discount the merchant did not publish in Awin Offers. The live offer is the spec. The bot should send the URL and answer questions the product page already states. If you do not know whether the code is live, open Awin instead of guessing. Where it fits: FAQ after DEAL. Where it does not: you only needed one URL. Chatfuel is not Awin. Tracking, lockups, and payouts stay on Awin.

7. Respond.io - Team inbox, not a keyword

Respond.io Starter is $79/month with a 7-day trial (Respond.io pricing, October 2026). Growth is $159/month. Advanced is $279/month. Those stickers are annual-plan public starts on the same page.

Where it fits: a small media team that already lives in a shared inbox and wants Instagram next to WhatsApp and web chat. Humans send the tracking URL. Automation is not the point.

Where it does not: DEAL on a haul Reel. You would be paying a $79 inbox to do a $19 keyword job. Rank stays ManyChat at number three. Respond.io is later on the list because some teams already bought it.

8. SetSmart - AI qualifier, wrong meter for DEAL

SetSmart Light is $25/month for 250 AI messages, with no free trial. Pro is $97/month for 1,000 AI messages, with a 7-day trial (SetSmart pricing, October 2026).

Where it fits: a coach who wants an AI thread that collects budget, goal, and a booking URL for a paid consult. That consult is not this page. Coaches live at Instagram DM automation for coaches.

Where it does not: DEAL on a haul Reel. You would be paying AI messages to send one tracking URL. 250 AI messages on Light does not survive a 2,000-comment spike.

SetSmart stays on this site’s tracking list. It is not Awin and it is not ranked above ManyChat. If the Reel is a $200 workshop you host, send the event page on WORKSHOP. Keep DEAL on the merchant URL.

Which keywords should never share a flow?

DEAL vs CODE. The product URL and the offer landing page are not the same click. If the merchant requires both, put both in one DM. Do not fire two automations.

DEAL vs AMAZON. Amazon Associates is a different network and a different disclosure job. See the Amazon page above.

DEAL vs CLICKBANK. Digital info-product hops live on the ClickBank page. Do not paste a ClickBank hop on an Awin SKU Reel.

DEAL vs YOUR STORE. Your own checkout is not an affiliate click. Ecommerce lives on Instagram DM automation for ecommerce.

One keyword, five brands. One DM, one URL. A roundup belongs on a page you host, not five tracking links stacked in Instagram Direct.

Write the public comment reply in a short line. “Sent you the deal” is enough. Templates live at Instagram DM templates. Story triggers live at Instagram story reply automation. The generic trigger is comment-to-DM automation.

What does a DEAL-Reel spike cost?

A haul clip at 2,000 DEAL comments, one DM each:

  • DM Automation Starter: 2,000 DMs/month at $19. 2,000 fits exactly. A second noisy week the same month does not. Pro is 15,000 DMs at $49. Free is 100 DMs. Free does not fit.
  • InstantDM Legend Pro: $9.99/month billed yearly, unlimited DMs up to 800 an hour. The spike does not change the bill. The free plan is 500 DM automations/month. 2,000 does not fit Free. Upgrade before you post the noisy haul.
  • LinkDM Pro: 25,000 DMs at $19/month. 2,000 fits. Free’s 1,000 does not, and Free has no comment auto-reply.
  • ReplyRush Lite: 7,500 DMs at $10/month. 2,000 fits. Free’s 1,500 does not cover 2,000, and Free has no comment auto-reply.
  • ManyChat Pro: 2,500 active contacts at $29/month billed yearly. 2,000 new commenters fits if they were not already contacts. Essential’s 250 contacts does not fit.
  • Chatfuel Business: US$18/month yearly plus the US$20 AI credits if the flow used AI turns. A static tracking URL should not need those credits.
  • Respond.io Starter: $79/month. Wrong meter for a keyword.
  • SetSmart Light: 250 AI messages at $25. Wrong meter for DEAL.

A quiet week of 40 DEAL comments is a free-plan test. Size the plan for the noisest haul. A 400-comment Reel on Starter still leaves room. A 2,000-comment drop on Free does not.

Awin does not publish a single commission rate. Merchant programs set the rate, the cookie, and the lockup. Awin’s creator FAQ says payout size depends on traffic, products, and advertisers (Awin creators, October 2026). That bill does not change when the Reel spikes. The DM tool invoices messages. Those are two bills.

What affiliate rules can the tool not save you from?

The URL is not the SKU on camera. You pasted last month’s dress on this week’s sneaker Reel. They land on the wrong product. Rebuild the link in Awin before you post.

The code in the caption is dead. Turn DEAL off until Awin Offers matches the caption.

You mixed Amazon and Awin on one keyword. Two networks, two disclosures, two pages. See the Amazon post above.

Two tools on the same keyword during a switch. Two DMs. One tool, then cutover.

Password apps that message people who liked the haul. Official API only. See the Instagram messaging docs. If a warning followed a password app, read “We suspect automated behavior.”

You bought an AI setter to send one tracking URL. Wrong meter. SetSmart Light at 250 AI messages is not a DEAL plan.

You treated the DM tool as Awin. Awin tracks the sale and pays merchant-set commission. The DM tool invoices Instagram messages. Mixing them is how people think a $19 Starter plan “includes” affiliate payouts. It does not.

A stripped tracking URL. If you paste the clean merchant URL, Awin cannot credit the click. Copy the tracking link from the Awin link builder, not from the address bar after you hopped.

A disclosure you skipped. Comment-to-DM does not replace “#ad” or the paid-partnership label. Put the disclosure in the caption and in the DM.

An unapproved merchant. If Awin still shows pending, do not post DEAL. You will send traffic you cannot get paid for.

Who is each tool for?

One publisher, Instagram only, testing. DM Automation free (100 DMs) or the 500-automation free plan in slot two.

One publisher, noisy haul Reels. The $9.99 yearly-billed unlimited plan in slot two, or LinkDM Pro at $19/month, or DM Automation Starter at $19/month. Use Pro on this site if you need 15,000 DMs or 3 accounts.

Shoppers already on WhatsApp. ManyChat is number three.

Tiny paid budget, comment-to-DM required. ReplyRush Lite $10/month for 7,500 DMs.

Published cap on 3 accounts. LinkDM Pro $19/month for 25,000 DMs.

Size/color FAQ after DEAL. Chatfuel Business from US$18 yearly.

Studio team inbox. Respond.io from $79 Starter. That is not the keyword job.

Paid consults next to the haul. SetSmart from $25 Light. That is not the DEAL job.

How do I choose in 10 minutes?

  1. Start with DM Automation (own tool on this site). Free 100 DMs/month, Starter $19, Pro $49 for 3 accounts.
  2. If you want unlimited DMs on a flat $9.99 yearly-billed plan, InstantDM is number two.
  3. If shoppers also need WhatsApp in the same builder, ManyChat is number three.
  4. Lowest paid Instagram comment-to-DM: ReplyRush Lite $10.
  5. Published cap on 3 accounts: LinkDM Pro $19. Remember comment auto-reply is Pro, not Free.
  6. FAQ bot: Chatfuel Business from US$18 yearly.
  7. Shared inbox: Respond.io from $79, usually the wrong first publisher tool for DEAL.
  8. Consult AI thread: SetSmart from $25, usually the wrong first publisher tool.

If two tools fit, pick the meter that matches last month’s noisest haul. A quiet try-on week and a drop day are not the same month. None of these vendors are Awin. Awin is the network. These tools send the URL.

How do I set up ShareASale / Awin comment-to-DM?

Open Awin. If you still have a ShareASale login, Awin’s public page is the current home for new programs (ShareASale is now Awin). Join as a publisher. Get approved by the merchant whose product is on camera. Build the tracking URL in the link builder. Copy that URL, not the clean merchant URL.

Switch the Instagram account to Business or Creator. Connect the DM tool through Instagram login. If a form asks for your password, stop. Is Instagram DM automation safe? is the API vs password-tool line.

Paste the full tracking URL, not a wrapped shortener that strips parameters.

Pick one Reel, one URL, one keyword. Put the keyword on screen. Put the disclosure in the caption. Publish. Comment from a second account. Confirm the DM arrives and the URL still opens the merchant through Awin. Keep the public reply short (“sent you the deal”). The first DM should be under four lines: the tracking URL, the live code if the merchant requires it, one honest size note if you must, and the disclosure. Do not paste five brands, a newsletter, and a personal shop in the same thread.

If you also sell your own product, that is a different keyword on a different Reel. InstantDM can send a payment link for that file. Stripe or PayPal still process the card. Keep DEAL on the Awin URL.

What Awin facts should stay on Awin?

Commission rates, cookie windows, lockups, and this week’s offer codes live in Awin, not in this article. They move. Quote them from the dashboard the morning you film, not from memory.

The public floor we can cite on 29 October 2026: ShareASale is now part of Awin. New programs launch on Awin. The creator page lists no publisher subscription. Commission is merchant-set. Awin pays publishers by SEPA, BACS, ACH, and other local methods, with Payoneer for international wire (Awin creators). That is the network. The DM tool is a separate invoice.

A bio link is one URL for everyone who already decided to leave the Reel. Comment-to-DM is a specific product for people who just watched this haul. Keep a storefront or LTK page in the bio as a fallback. Do not make the bio the only path. People who comment DEAL are not hunting a 12-link tree. They are waiting on a DM.

If the Reel is a named SKU, DEAL in the DM beats a homepage that dumps them on a sale grid. If the Reel is a code drop, CODE in the DM beats a product URL with no offer.

LTK and other creator storefronts still belong on LTK affiliate Instagram DMs. This page stays on Awin tracking URLs.

FAQ

What is the best Instagram DM automation for ShareASale publishers in 2026?

Comment-to-DM on an official API tool. Rank: DM Automation first (this site: free 100 DMs/month, Starter $19/month, Pro $49/month for 3 accounts), the $9.99 yearly-billed unlimited plan second, ManyChat third if you need WhatsApp. Then LinkDM, ReplyRush, Chatfuel, Respond.io, and SetSmart. Paste the Awin tracking URL. Ranked 29 October 2026.

Yes. Copy the tracking URL from Awin’s link builder, then paste it into the DM. Awin still tracks the click. The merchant still checks out the shopper. The DM tool only sends the link.

Is ShareASale still its own network?

Awin’s public page says ShareASale is now part of Awin, and new customers launch on Awin (ShareASale is now Awin, October 2026). Use the Awin tracking URL in the DM.

Is Awin a paid DM automation tool?

No. Awin is an affiliate network. The creator page we opened lists no publisher subscription. You earn merchant-set commission when a tracked sale confirms. You pay a DM tool if you want comment-to-DM.

Should DEAL and CODE share a flow?

Only if the merchant requires the product URL and the code in the same DM. Otherwise send DEAL to the SKU and CODE to the offer page. Mixing them dumps code-hunters on a full-price product.

Yes, through the official Messaging API, when you reply to people who commented, replied to a story, or messaged you. Cold DMs to people who never contacted you are not that feature. Disclose the relationship. See Meta’s Instagram messaging docs.

How much does InstantDM cost for an Awin publisher?

Legend Pro is $9.99/month billed yearly with unlimited DMs up to 800 an hour. Trendsetter is $24.99/month billed yearly. Trendsetter Pro is $49.99/month billed yearly. Free is 500 DM automations/month. Multi Starter is $160/year for 3 accounts (pricing, October 2026). It sends the tracking URL. It does not run Awin.

What keyword should I use on a haul Reel?

One short word you also put on screen: DEAL, SHOP, LINK, or CODE. Test from a second account. If people comment “link” while you required “DEAL,” you wrote the wrong keyword.

Will a viral haul Reel blow up my ManyChat bill?

It can. ManyChat prices active contacts. A spike of new people can move you up a tier even if each person got one DM. Flat DM buckets meter messages instead. Pro is $29/month billed yearly for 2,500 contacts on the 2 March 2026 table (Featurebase). See ManyChat pricing.

Does this replace my Awin account?

No. The tool sends one URL when someone already commented. Awin still tracks, still locks, still pays merchant-set commission.
