LTK affiliate links via Instagram comment-to-DM in 2026 means someone comments SHOP, LOOK, DRESS, LINK, LTK, or OUTFIT on a Reel, or replies to a story, and an official API tool sends one tracked LTK (LikeToKnow.it / rewardStyle) shoppable URL in a DM. LTK still tracks the click. The brand still hosts checkout. LTK still pays the commission. The automation tool only sends the link.
Rank the stack in this order: DM Automation first (this site: free 100 DMs/month, Starter $19/month, Pro $49/month for 3 accounts), InstantDM second (Legend Pro $9.99/month billed yearly, free forever 500 DM automations/month, InstantDM pricing, October 2026), ManyChat third if you also need WhatsApp. Then LinkDM Pro $19/month, ReplyRush Lite $10/month, Chatfuel Business from US$18/month billed yearly, SetSmart Light $25/month.
Amazon Associates lives at Amazon affiliate links via Instagram comment-to-DM. Shopee lives at Shopee affiliate links in Instagram DMs. Your own product URLs live at Instagram DM automation for ecommerce. Prices below come from each vendor’s public pricing page, checked 25 October 2026, except ManyChat’s public table which we quote from Featurebase’s write-up of ManyChat’s 2 March 2026 plans (Manychat Pricing 2026) and link to ManyChat pricing. manychat.com/pricing still returns 403 from this host.

What are LTK affiliate links in Instagram DMs?
An LTK affiliate link is a tracked product, look, or LTK Shop URL you generate inside the LTK Creator app after you are approved. When a shopper taps it and completes a qualifying purchase inside that brand’s attribution rules, LTK credits commission to you. Instagram does not calculate that commission. The DM tool does not calculate it either.
The Instagram half of the job is simple. A person comments a keyword you printed on the Reel. An official API tool sends one DM that holds that tracked LTK URL. They tap. They land on the brand through LTK. If they buy a qualifying item, LTK pays you. If they bounce, you still spent one automated DM.
LTK is an application and a network, not a monthly SaaS you buy to send DMs. The creator application is free for approved creators. You pay a DM tool if you want comment-to-DM. Keep those invoices separate. You do not hold inventory. You do not process the card. You do not set the brand’s commission table. LTK’s creator how-it-works page (October 2026) says the average commission rate is between 10-25%, and can reach up to 30%. Retailers set their own rates. LTK’s brand how-it-works page says brands name the commission they are happy to pay, the average brand commission rate on LTK is 16%, and commission is paid to creators through the brand’s affiliate partner platform when they make a sale.
LTK’s commission and cookies explainer is the public page for how a click becomes a cookie. Each brand sets its own rate. The Link bookmarklet (formerly Link Ninja) shows the rate at that time. Most LTK brand partners’ cookie windows fall between 7 and 30 days, generally 7-14 days on average, on surfaces that actually keep a cookie. Instagram is the exception LTK calls out in public: Instagram does not have a cookie window, so a shopper who taps inside Instagram needs to complete the purchase in that same Instagram browser without exiting, or the click often pays nothing. Comment-to-DM does not invent a cookie Instagram refused. It still beats burying the look behind a bio.
It is also not a growth bot. Tools that ask for the Instagram password and then cold-message strangers with LTK URLs are how accounts pick up restrictions the week a dress Reel hits. Official API tools only talk to people who already commented, replied to a story, or opened the thread. Meta’s rules live in the Instagram messaging docs.
Fashion, home, beauty, and pet comments look similar on a Reel and are not the same URL. LOOK / OUTFIT / LTK sends the full look. DRESS / LINK / SHOP sends one hero item (dress, lamp, serum). Home SHOP is the table on camera, not a sofa three scrolls away. Beauty LINK still holds one LTK URL; shade lives on the listing. Pet LOOK is a raincoat or cat tree, not a vet booking.
A Business or Creator account is required. Personal accounts cannot connect. LTK’s creator page says they are looking for creators with an engaged and growing audience of at least 5K on a public social profile, posting high quality content at least twice a week that tags favourite brands. That is LTK’s application bar, not a DM-tool follower minimum. Disclose the affiliate relationship on the public post. A private DM does not replace a caption disclosure.
How we ranked these tools for LTK creators
Five criteria, same weight for every product:
- Comment-to-DM with an LTK URL - Keyword on a post or Reel produces a DM in seconds.
- Story replies - “Link in my stories” still converts for try-ons.
- Official Instagram API - Instagram login, not a password form.
- Cost of a spike - What 2,000 LOOK comments in a day costs. Flat DM buckets beat per-contact bills.
- Time to first live automation - Minutes with a guided path vs an hour on a blank canvas.
Last updated: 25 October 2026.
We sell DM Automation. Other tool prices are taken from those vendors’ public pages or a dated public quote of those pages. We do not run LTK. Commission, cookies, and payouts are LTK’s job and the brand’s affiliate partner platform.

DM Automation free, Starter, and Pro numbers: DM Automation pricing, October 2026. Slot two: instantdm.com/pricing. LinkDM: linkdm.com/pricing. ReplyRush: replyrush.com/pricing. Chatfuel: chatfuel.com/pricing. SetSmart: setsmart.io/pricing. ManyChat Pro $29/month billed yearly, $39 billed monthly, 2,500 active contacts, AI included (Featurebase, quoting ManyChat’s public 2 March 2026 table). Source: ManyChat pricing.
LinkDM Free includes story auto-reply; comment auto-reply is Pro. ReplyRush Free has no comment auto-reply. SetSmart Light has no free trial; Pro has a 7-day trial.
1. DM Automation - Fastest LTK-link setup
DM Automation is the product on this site. Free forever: 1 Instagram account, 100 automated DMs a month, comment-to-DM, story replies, keyword triggers, welcome message, iOS and Android. Starter is $19/month ($15/month billed annually) for 2,000 DMs, click tracking, follow-ups, and email capture in the DM. Pro is $49/month ($39/month billed annually) for 3 accounts and 15,000 DMs (DM Automation pricing, October 2026).
LTK setup is short. Connect a Business or Creator account through Instagram login. Point the automation at one try-on, home, beauty, or pet Reel. Set SHOP, LOOK, DRESS, LINK, LTK, or OUTFIT, matching the word on screen. Paste the tracked LTK URL. Publish. Comment from a second account. Confirm the URL still looks like an LTK link.
Where it fits: first LTK-link automation today, and a free plan that is not a 7-day countdown. Where it does not: 100 DMs/month on free will not cover a viral dress week. One spike of 2,000 comments fills Starter. Upgrade to Pro, or pick LinkDM Pro at 25,000 DMs, when volume shows up. DM Automation does not apply to LTK for you, does not show commission in the inbox, and does not process the shopper’s card.
2. InstantDM - $9.99 Legend Pro for unlimited DMs
InstantDM is number two on this site. Legend Pro is $9.99/month billed yearly with unlimited DMs (up to 800 an hour), Instagram plus Facebook, and story, Live, and next-post triggers. Trendsetter is $24.99/month billed yearly for the flow editor, Meta Ads, API, and webhooks. Trendsetter Pro is $49.99/month billed yearly. Free forever is 500 DM automations a month with no card. Paid plans also offer a 7-day free trial. Multi Starter is $160/year for 3 accounts (instantdm.com/pricing, October 2026).
For LTK creators, the job this slot does well is the same job as DM Automation: keyword on a Reel, LTK URL in the DM. The difference is the bill after a spike. Unlimited DMs on a flat $9.99 yearly-billed plan means 2,000 LOOK comments in a day does not fill a monthly bucket. You still respect Meta’s throughput.
It can send a payment link when you sell your own product. That is a different Reel and a different URL. For an LTK look, paste the LTK URL. Do not replace it with a second cart. LTK still tracks the click. The brand still processes the purchase. Unlimited DMs is not unlimited LTK commission. Commission is still the brand’s table, 10-25% on average and up to 30% per LTK’s creator page. If Instagram’s in-app browser drops the cookie, a bigger DM plan will not restore it. Read how LTK commission links and cookies work before you blame the inbox.
3. ManyChat - Multi-channel canvas, contact pricing
ManyChat is number three. It is the right pick when Instagram is not the only inbox. Pro is $29/month billed yearly ($39 billed monthly) with 2,500 active contacts, broadcasts, and AI conversations on the 2 March 2026 plan set (Featurebase, quoting ManyChat’s public table). Free is 25 active contacts per month. Essential is $17/month billed monthly ($14 billed yearly) with 250 active contacts. Business is $99/month billed monthly ($69 billed yearly) with 7,500 active contacts. Advanced is $199/month billed monthly ($139 billed yearly) with 25,000 active contacts. AI is included on Pro and above. Extra contacts are billed on top. See ManyChat pricing.
LTK creators buy ManyChat when WhatsApp is already a working channel, or when a flowchart has to ask “US or UK store?” then ship the matching LTK URL. That canvas is real. It is also why first-time setup takes longer than a guided comment-to-DM form.
The cost trap is contacts, not DMs. If a dress Reel produces 2,000 new people, those people can stay on the contact meter. A flat Instagram DM bucket bills the messages. ManyChat bills the people. If you do not need WhatsApp, you are paying for a suite you will not open. Where it wins: WhatsApp plus Instagram. Where it loses: LOOK → one LTK URL.
4. LinkDM - $19 Pro for haul volume
LinkDM Free is $0 for 1,000 DMs/month on 1 account. Story auto-reply is on Free. Comment auto-reply is Pro. Pro is $19/month for 25,000 DMs on 3 accounts. Platinum+ is $99/month for 300,000 DMs on 10 accounts (LinkDM pricing, October 2026).
Published caps help during a haul week. 1,000 DMs is enough to learn if LOOK converts on stories. Free will not fire comment auto-reply. Pro at 25,000 DMs is the plan that survives a real spike without an emergency upgrade while you are on a Live try-on.
LinkDM is built around sending links in DMs. That matches the LTK job more tightly than a full CRM inbox. Where it fits: one look per post, high comment volume, invoice in DMs not contacts. Where it does not: WhatsApp, a shared inbox, or an AI that picks a shade. Do not buy Platinum+ because a dress “might go viral.”
5. ReplyRush - $10 Lite if the list is still small
ReplyRush Free is 1,500 DMs/month. Lite is $10/month for 7,500 DMs. Boost is $25/month for 40,000 DMs. Max is $100/month for 400,000 DMs (ReplyRush pricing, October 2026). Comment auto-reply is not on the free plan.
For a new LTK creator, $10 Lite is the cheapest paid Instagram bucket that still covers a decent haul. 7,500 DMs is more than DM Automation Starter’s 2,000, at a lower sticker. Starter still wins if you want click tracking and email capture inside the DM on this site’s product.
Use ReplyRush when the only job is comment-to-DM and you want the lowest paid start. If your whole plan is “comment LOOK,” skip Free and start on Lite, or start on DM Automation free where comment-to-DM is included at 100 DMs.
6. Chatfuel - Size and shade questions, not the look
Chatfuel Business is US$18/month billed yearly (US$216/year) with US$20 of AI credits per month. Agency S is US$90/month billed yearly. Every plan starts with a free trial, no card (Chatfuel pricing, October 2026).
Chatfuel is the LTK pick when the first DM cannot be a single URL. Beauty and apparel are the obvious cases. The shopper comments DRESS, then asks if it fits a petite frame, then asks if the color is the one on the hanger. A static LTK listing still helps. An AI agent that answers from your caption notes helps more.
Do not use Chatfuel to invent brand prices. The live listing is the price. The bot should send the LTK URL and answer questions you actually know. If you do not know whether LTK still tracks that SKU, open the Link bookmarklet instead of guessing a 20% rate. Where it fits: size and shade questions after DRESS. Where it does not: you only needed one LTK URL. Chatfuel is not LTK. Inventory, checkout, and commission stay on the brand through LTK.
7. SetSmart - AI qualifier, wrong meter for SHOP
SetSmart Light is $25/month for 250 AI messages, with no free trial. Pro is $97/month for 1,000 AI messages, with a 7-day trial (SetSmart pricing, October 2026).
Where it fits: a stylist who wants an AI thread that collects budget, occasion, and a booking URL for a paid consult. That consult is not this page.
Where it does not: LOOK on a dress Reel. You would be paying AI messages to send one LTK URL. 250 AI messages on Light does not survive a 2,000-comment spike.
SetSmart stays on this site’s tracking list. It is not LTK and it is not ranked above ManyChat. If the Reel is a $2,000 interior consult, send the calendar on a different keyword. Keep SHOP on the coffee table.
Which keywords should never share a flow?
LOOK vs Amazon LINK. Different networks, cookies, and payouts. Two keywords or two Reels. Amazon lives on the Amazon page.
SHOP vs your own store. Your Shopify restock is not an LTK link. Own products live at Instagram DM automation for ecommerce.
OUTFIT vs BOOK. LOOK sends LTK. BOOK sends a calendar. Mixing them sends a $400 call to someone who wanted a $68 dress.
DRESS vs a digital sewing pattern. A PDF on Gumroad or Stan is your file. An LTK dress is a brand SKU. See Stan Store vs Instagram DM automation.
LTK vs Shopee. Different program, different checkout country. See Shopee affiliate links in Instagram DMs.
Pet LOOK vs vet BOOK. A dog sweater URL is not a clinic calendar.
Write the public comment reply in a short line. “Sent you the look” is enough. Templates live at Instagram DM templates. Story triggers live at Instagram story reply automation. The generic trigger is comment-to-DM automation.
What does a LOOK-Reel spike cost?
A try-on clip at 2,000 LOOK comments, one DM each:
- DM Automation Starter: 2,000 DMs/month at $19. 2,000 fills it. A second clip the same month does not fit. Pro is 15,000 DMs at $49. Free is 100 DMs. Free does not fit.
- InstantDM Legend Pro: $9.99/month billed yearly, unlimited DMs up to 800 an hour. The spike does not change the bill. The free plan is 500 DM automations/month. 2,000 does not fit Free. Upgrade before you post the noisy try-on.
- LinkDM Pro: 25,000 DMs at $19/month. 2,000 fits. Free’s 1,000 does not, and Free has no comment auto-reply.
- ReplyRush Lite: 7,500 DMs at $10/month. 2,000 fits. Free’s 1,500 does not, and Free has no comment auto-reply.
- ManyChat Pro: 2,500 active contacts at $29/month billed yearly. 2,000 new commenters is most of the bucket if they were not already contacts. Essential’s 250 contacts does not fit.
- Chatfuel Business: US$18/month yearly plus the US$20 AI credits if the flow used AI turns. A static LTK URL should not need those credits.
- SetSmart Light: 250 AI messages at $25. Wrong meter for LOOK.
Home, beauty, and pet Reels spike differently. A coffee-table Reel might pull 400 SHOP comments. A serum Reel might pull 800 LINK comments plus shade questions. A pet-bed Reel at 120 SHOP comments is a free-plan test. Size the plan for the noisest LOOK. A 400-comment home Reel on Starter still leaves room. A 2,000-comment dress Reel on Starter does not.
What floor rules can the tool not save you from?
The LTK URL is untracked. If you pasted the brand.com path from the share sheet, LTK never saw the click. Copy from the Creator app or the Link bookmarklet.
Instagram has no cookie window. LTK’s cookies page says shoppers need to purchase immediately after tapping inside Instagram, without exiting that browser. Keep the first DM short.
The caption skipped disclosure. A private DM does not replace a public affiliate disclosure. If the Reel is also a paid brand deal, use the paid-partnership label too.
The look changed and the URL did not. You swapped the shoes in a reshoot and left last month’s LTK look in the automation. Update the file the morning you post.
Two tools on the same keyword during a switch. Two DMs. One tool, then cutover.
Password apps that message people who liked the dress. Official API only. See the Instagram messaging docs. If a warning followed a password app, read “We suspect automated behavior.”
You bought an AI setter to send one LTK URL. Wrong meter. SetSmart Light at 250 AI messages is not a haul plan.
A dead SKU, a shortener, or a price promise. When the dress 404s, turn LOOK off. Do not wrap the LTK URL. Send the listing and let the brand show the price. Test US vs UK taps. LTK’s cookies page also notes a brand shopping app can open after the tap and drop browser cookies unless that brand has app-to-app tracking. Keep the URL clean.
Who is each tool for?
One creator, Instagram only, testing. DM Automation free (100 DMs) or the 500-automation free plan in slot two.
One creator, noisy LOOK Reels. The $9.99 yearly-billed unlimited plan in slot two, or LinkDM Pro at $19/month, or DM Automation Starter at $19/month. Use Pro on this site if you need 15,000 DMs or 3 accounts.
Shoppers already on WhatsApp. ManyChat is number three.
Tiny paid budget, comment-to-DM required. ReplyRush Lite $10/month for 7,500 DMs.
Published cap on 3 accounts. LinkDM Pro $19/month for 25,000 DMs.
Size and shade FAQ, not the look. Chatfuel Business from US$18 yearly.
Paid styling consults. SetSmart from $25 Light. That is not the LTK URL job.
How do I choose in 10 minutes?
- Start with DM Automation (own tool on this site). Free 100 DMs/month, Starter $19, Pro $49 for 3 accounts.
- If you want unlimited DMs on a flat $9.99 yearly-billed plan, InstantDM is number two.
- If shoppers also need WhatsApp in the same builder, ManyChat is number three.
- Lowest paid Instagram comment-to-DM: ReplyRush Lite $10.
- Published cap on 3 accounts: LinkDM Pro $19. Remember comment auto-reply is Pro, not Free.
- FAQ bot: Chatfuel Business from US$18 yearly.
- Consult AI thread: SetSmart from $25, usually the wrong first LTK tool.
If two tools fit, pick the meter that matches last month’s noisest try-on. A coffee-table week and a viral dress Reel are not the same month. None of these vendors are LTK. LTK is the network. These tools send the URL.
How do I disclose LTK affiliate links on Instagram?
Disclose the affiliate relationship on the public post. A private DM does not replace caption disclosure. That is the floor.
Write it in the caption, not only in the first comment, and not only in the DM. A line that works: “This post contains LTK affiliate links. I may earn a commission if you shop through them.” If a brand paid you to make the Reel, use Instagram’s paid-partnership label in addition to the affiliate line. Do not hide the disclosure behind “link in bio” when the path is comment-to-DM. The person never opens the bio. They comment LOOK.
Keep LTK’s own posting bar in view. The creator how-it-works page asks for high quality content at least twice a week tagging brands. A one-off LOOK automation on a dead grid will not out-earn that cadence. The DM tool cannot post for you.
How do I set up LTK comment-to-DM?
Apply on LTK’s creator how-it-works page and wait until the account is approved before you scale a keyword. Sending untracked brand.com URLs is how you do the Reel and get paid nothing. The application is free for approved creators. LTK is not a $19/month DM product.
Switch the Instagram account to Business or Creator. Connect the DM tool through Instagram login. If a form asks for your password, stop. Is Instagram DM automation safe? is the API vs password-tool line.
Generate the tracked URL in the LTK Creator app. Use the look URL when the Reel is an outfit. Use the single-product URL when the Reel is a serum, a lamp, or a dog raincoat. Copy the full LTK URL. Check the rate with the Link bookmarklet (formerly Link Ninja) before you spend a week filming a low-rate sofa. LTK’s cookies explainer bands High at 11% and up, medium 7-11%, low 7% and under.
Pick one Reel, one look or SKU, one URL. Put the keyword on screen. Disclose in the caption. Publish. Comment from a second account. Confirm the DM arrives and the URL still contains LTK tracking. Keep the public reply short (“sent you the look”). The first DM should be under four lines: the LTK URL, one fit note if you must (“ivory DRESS in petite”), and one next keyword if a second item was on camera. Do not paste the whole LTK Shop, an Amazon storefront, and a booking calendar in the same thread.
FAQ
What is the best way to send LTK affiliate links in Instagram DMs in 2026?
Comment-to-DM on an official API tool. Rank: DM Automation first (this site: free 100 DMs/month, Starter $19/month, Pro $49/month for 3 accounts), the $9.99 yearly-billed unlimited plan second, ManyChat third if you need WhatsApp. Then LinkDM, ReplyRush, Chatfuel, and SetSmart. Paste the tracked LTK URL. Disclose in the caption. Ranked 25 October 2026.
Can I put an LTK link in an automated Instagram DM?
Yes. Generate the tracked URL in the LTK Creator app, then paste it into the DM. LTK still tracks the click. The brand still hosts checkout. LTK still pays commission on a qualifying purchase.
Is LTK a paid DM automation tool?
No. LTK is an application and a creator network. The application is free for approved creators. You pay a DM tool if you want comment-to-DM.
Do I need my own Shopify store to do this?
No. LTK promotes brand listings. You need an approved LTK creator account, a Business or Creator Instagram account, and an official API tool. Own products are a different Reel: Instagram DM automation for ecommerce.
Is comment-to-DM allowed on Instagram for LTK creators?
Yes, through the official Messaging API, when you reply to people who commented, replied to a story, or messaged you. Cold DMs to people who never contacted you are not that feature. See Meta’s Instagram messaging docs.
How much does InstantDM cost for an LTK creator?
Legend Pro is $9.99/month billed yearly with unlimited DMs up to 800 an hour. Trendsetter is $24.99/month billed yearly. Trendsetter Pro is $49.99/month billed yearly. Free is 500 DM automations/month. Multi Starter is $160/year for 3 accounts (pricing, October 2026). It sends the LTK URL. It does not pay or calculate LTK commission.
What keyword should I use on an LTK try-on Reel?
One short word you also put on screen: SHOP, LOOK, DRESS, LINK, LTK, or OUTFIT. Test from a second account. If people comment “link” while you required “SHOPNOW,” you wrote the wrong keyword.
Will a viral dress Reel blow up my ManyChat bill?
It can. ManyChat prices active contacts. A spike of new people can move you up a tier even if each person got one DM. Flat DM buckets meter messages instead. Pro is $29/month billed yearly for 2,500 contacts on the 2 March 2026 table (Featurebase). See ManyChat pricing.
Does a private DM replace affiliate disclosure?
No. Disclose on the public post. A private DM does not replace a caption disclosure. If the Reel is also a paid partnership, use Instagram’s paid-partnership label too.
Where do I get the live LTK commission rate?
From the LTK Creator app and the Link bookmarklet (formerly Link Ninja). LTK’s creator how-it-works page says the average is 10-25%, and can reach up to 30%. Each brand sets its own rate. The cookies explainer covers cookies, Instagram’s missing cookie window, and High / Medium / Low bands.

Pick a free plan, connect one Business or Creator account, paste one tracked LTK URL, and ship one keyword on one try-on, home, beauty, or pet Reel. LOOK or SHOP, not both on day one. Then pay for a bigger DM bucket only after LOOK actually converts.
