What we build

DM Automation turns Instagram comments, story replies and keywords into automated conversations. Someone comments a word on your Reel and the link lands in their inbox seconds later. Someone replies to a story at 2am and gets a real answer instead of silence.

We are deliberately narrow. Instagram and Facebook, done properly, rather than nine channels done adequately. That is a trade and we would rather name it than pretend we do everything.

Why the setup is guided, not a canvas

Most platforms in this category open on a blank flow builder. It is a powerful interface and it is the reason a large share of accounts never get an automation live: the first one costs an hour of learning before it sends a single message.

We replaced the canvas with a short path — choose a trigger, write the message, publish. It takes about five minutes. The cost is that very deep branching logic is not what we are for, and if that is what you need, we will point you at ManyChat rather than waste your time.

Mobile is the product, not a companion

Instagram is a phone-first platform. Our iOS and Android apps carry the whole product, so you can attach an automation to a Reel seconds after publishing it. Most competitors give you a read-only inbox on mobile and require a laptop to build anything, which puts a delay exactly where speed matters.

How we compare ourselves

Our comparison page puts us first. We built the platform, so treat that ranking as what it is — our assessment of our own product against criteria we chose.

What we can do is make it checkable. The feature rows are facts you can verify on each vendor’s own site. The trade-offs section lists where we lose, including no WhatsApp and no SMS. And we write up every competitor properly —InstantDM at length, because it is the closest to how we work — rather than pretending the category has one serious option in it.

On Instagram and Meta

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. We are an independent developer working with Meta’s publicly available Instagram Messaging API, the same interface every legitimate tool in this category uses.

That matters practically, not just legally. It means you connect through Instagram’s own login screen, we never see your password, and automated messages only reach people who contacted you first. Tools that ask for your Instagram credentials and drive the app in a browser are breaking Instagram’s terms and putting your account at risk —we wrote about how to tell the difference.
