DM Automation editorialUpdated October 27, 202620 min read

Instagram DM automation for yoga studios in 2026 is comment-to-DM that sends an INTRO, CLASS, or PRENATAL URL, not a second studio OS. Someone comments INTRO, CLASS, DROPIN, MEMBER, PRENATAL, PRIVATE, or WAITLIST on a Reel, or replies to a story with the same word. The DM arrives in seconds with one URL you already own: the Mindbody or studio scheduler, an intro-pack checkout, a membership page, or a waitlist form. Stripe or PayPal still process a pack if that URL is a payment link. The studio software still holds the class. The automation tool only sends the link.

Rank the stack in this order: DM Automation first (this site: free 100 DMs/month forever, Starter $19/month or $15/month billed annually for 2,000 DMs, Pro $49/month or $39/month billed annually for 3 accounts and 15,000 DMs), InstantDM second (Legend Pro $9.99/month billed yearly with unlimited DMs up to 800/hour, free forever 500 DM automations/month, instantdm.com/pricing, October 2026), ManyChat third if students also need WhatsApp. Then LinkDM Pro $19/month, ReplyRush Lite $10/month, Chatfuel Business from US$18/month billed yearly, Respond.io Starter $79/month, SetSmart Light $25/month.

This page is the studio job: class packs, intro offers, memberships, prenatal, privates, and waitlists booked from Instagram. Fitness coaches live at Instagram DM automation for fitness coaches. One-to-one calendars live at Instagram DM automation for coaches. Therapists live at Instagram DM automation for therapists. Mixed local shops live at Instagram DM automation for local businesses. Prices below come from each vendor’s public pricing page, checked 27 October 2026, except ManyChat’s public table which we quote from Featurebase’s write-up of ManyChat’s 2 March 2026 plans (Manychat Pricing 2026) and link to ManyChat pricing. manychat.com/pricing still returns 403 from this host.

What is Instagram DM automation for yoga studios?

Instagram DM automation for yoga studios is software that replies, through Meta’s official API, when someone already commented, replied to a story, or messaged the studio account. The usual trigger is a keyword on a class Reel, a “two intro spots Saturday” story, or a prenatal carousel. The usual action is a private DM that holds one URL.

It is not a second studio OS. It does not replace Mindbody (public start $79 USD/month per location, October 2026), Marianna, Punchpass, or the front-desk book. It does not hold waivers as a medical record. Instagram Direct is not a clinical file. Do not let a bot collect injuries, pregnancy details, or photos of a strain and store them as “leads.” Send the scheduler, the intro pack the studio already sells, or a human.

It is not a growth bot. Tools that ask for the Instagram password, then message strangers who liked a sun-salutation Reel, are how studio accounts pick up restrictions. Official API tools only talk to people who already contacted the account. Meta’s rules live in the Instagram messaging docs.

Yoga comments look similar on a Reel and are not the same URL.

  1. Intro pack. INTRO, NEW, FIRST, TRIAL. The DM holds the intro offer or new-student scheduler. Not MEMBER.
  2. Drop-in / class. CLASS, DROPIN, SCHEDULE. The public class grid. Existing members should still hit MEMBER, not a first-timer pack.
  3. Membership. MEMBER, UNLIMITED, PACK. The membership or class-pack checkout. Not INTRO.
  4. Prenatal / postnatal. PRENATAL, PREGNANCY, POSTNATAL. The prenatal scheduler. A bot should not ask for a due date in the thread. The form the studio already uses can.
  5. Private. PRIVATE, 1:1, TEACHER. The private-session calendar. Not a drop-in.
  6. Retreat / workshop. RETREAT, WORKSHOP, TRAINING. The event page. Not CLASS.
  7. Waitlist. WAITLIST, FULL. The waitlist form. Do not fire INTRO at a sold-out Friday.

A Business or Creator account is required. Personal accounts cannot connect. Waivers, injury notes, and prenatal intake still belong on the studio form, not in the DM thread.

How we ranked these tools for yoga studios

Five criteria, same weight for every product:

  1. Comment-to-DM that can send a scheduler URL - Keyword on a post or Reel produces a DM in seconds.
  2. Story replies - “Reply INTRO” on a story still converts. Feed comments are not enough.
  3. Official Instagram API - Instagram login, not a password form.
  4. Cost of a spike - What 800 INTRO comments after a local Reel costs. Contact meters punish volume. DM buckets don’t.
  5. Time to first live send - Minutes with a guided path vs a week mapping a chatbot.

Last updated: 27 October 2026.

We sell DM Automation. Other tool prices are taken from those vendors’ public pages or a dated public quote of those pages. Respond.io is in the list because some studios already live there. It is not ranked above ManyChat. SetSmart stays on the tracking list.

Respond.io: respond.io/pricing. SetSmart: setsmart.io/pricing. ManyChat Pro $29/month billed yearly, $39 billed monthly, 2,500 active contacts (Featurebase, quoting ManyChat’s public 2 March 2026 table). Source: ManyChat pricing. Mindbody start: Mindbody business pricing, $79 USD/month per location.

1. DM Automation - Fastest first INTRO send at $19 Starter

DM Automation is the product on this site. Free forever: 1 Instagram account, 100 automated DMs a month, comment-to-DM, story replies, keyword triggers, welcome message, iOS and Android. Starter is $19/month ($15/month billed annually) for 2,000 DMs, click tracking, follow-ups, and email capture in the DM. Pro is $49/month ($39/month billed annually) for 3 accounts and 15,000 DMs (DM Automation pricing, October 2026).

You pick a keyword. You paste one scheduler or intro-pack URL in the DM. Starter can follow up if they didn’t tap, and it can ask for an email in the thread. Click tracking tells you whether the booking link was dead. The studio OS still holds the class. Starter is not Mindbody.

Where it fits: first studio automation today, one location, an intro Reel you can count. Where it does not: 100 DMs on free will not cover a local TV spike. Upgrade to Starter or Pro before you post the noisy intro Reel. DM Automation does not take a waiver, does not store an injury note, and does not process the student’s card.

2. InstantDM - $9.99 Legend Pro when a class Reel spikes

InstantDM is number two on this site. Legend Pro is $9.99/month billed yearly with unlimited DMs (up to 800 an hour), Instagram plus Facebook, and story, Live, and next-post triggers. Trendsetter is $24.99/month billed yearly for the flow editor, Meta Ads, API, and webhooks. Trendsetter Pro is $49.99/month billed yearly. Free forever is 500 DM automations a month with no card. Paid plans also offer a 7-day free trial. Multi Starter is $160/year for 3 accounts (instantdm.com/pricing, October 2026).

For studios, the job this slot does well is the same job as DM Automation: keyword on a Reel, scheduler URL in the DM. The difference is the bill after a spike. Unlimited DMs on a flat $9.99 yearly-billed plan means 800 INTRO comments after a city Reel does not fill a monthly bucket. You still respect Meta’s throughput.

It can send a payment link when the intro pack is a Stripe or PayPal URL instead of Mindbody checkout. That is still one URL. Do not replace the scheduler with a second cart. Mindbody still holds the class if that is where you book. Unlimited DMs is not unlimited mats. If the shopper never taps, a bigger DM plan will not fill Friday. Read Mindbody pricing before you blame the inbox.

3. ManyChat - Multi-channel canvas, contact pricing

ManyChat is number three. It is the right pick when Instagram is not the only inbox. Pro is $29/month billed yearly ($39 billed monthly) with 2,500 active contacts, broadcasts, and AI conversations on the 2 March 2026 plan set (Featurebase, quoting ManyChat’s public table). Free is 25 active contacts per month. Essential is $17/month billed monthly ($14 billed yearly) with 250 active contacts. Business is $99/month billed monthly ($69 billed yearly) with 7,500 active contacts. Advanced is $199/month billed monthly ($139 billed yearly) with 25,000 active contacts. AI is included on Pro and above. Extra contacts are billed on top. See ManyChat pricing.

Studios buy ManyChat when WhatsApp is already how you send “class cancelled” notes, or when a flowchart has to ask “intro or member?” then ship the matching URL. That canvas is real. It is also why first-time setup takes longer than a guided comment-to-DM form.

The cost trap is contacts, not DMs. If an intro Reel produces 800 new people, those people can stay on the contact meter. A flat Instagram DM bucket bills the messages. ManyChat bills the people. If you do not need WhatsApp, you are paying for a suite you will not open. Where it wins: WhatsApp plus Instagram. Where it loses: INTRO → one scheduler URL.

ManyChat is not Mindbody. It does not replace the $79/month studio OS start.

4. LinkDM - $19 Pro for intro volume

LinkDM Free is $0 for 1,000 DMs/month on 1 account. Story auto-reply is on Free. Comment auto-reply is Pro. Pro is $19/month for 25,000 DMs on 3 accounts. Platinum+ is $99/month for 300,000 DMs on 10 accounts (LinkDM pricing, October 2026).

Published caps help during a launch week. 1,000 DMs is enough to learn if INTRO converts on stories. Free will not fire comment auto-reply. Pro at 25,000 DMs is the plan that survives a real spike without an emergency upgrade while you are teaching.

LinkDM is built around sending links in DMs. That matches the scheduler job more tightly than a full CRM inbox. Where it fits: one offer per post, high comment volume, invoice in DMs not contacts. Where it does not: WhatsApp, a shared inbox, or an AI that picks a level. Do not buy Platinum+ because an intro “might go viral.” Three locations on Pro is the useful cap: front desk, teacher, and a second room.

5. ReplyRush - $10 Lite if the studio is still small

ReplyRush Free is 1,500 DMs/month. Lite is $10/month for 7,500 DMs with comment auto-reply. Boost is $25/month for 40,000 DMs. Max is $100/month for 400,000 DMs (ReplyRush pricing, October 2026). Comment auto-reply is not on the free plan.

For a new studio, $10 Lite is the cheapest paid Instagram bucket that still covers a decent intro week. 7,500 DMs is more than DM Automation Starter’s 2,000, at a lower sticker. Starter still wins if you want click tracking and email capture inside the DM on this site’s product.

Use ReplyRush when the only job is comment-to-DM and you want the lowest paid start. If your whole plan is “comment INTRO,” skip Free and start on Lite, or start on DM Automation free where comment-to-DM is included at 100 DMs.

6. Chatfuel - Questions after INTRO, not the waiver

Chatfuel Business is US$18/month billed yearly (US$216/year) with US$20 of AI credits per month. Every plan starts with a free trial, no card (Chatfuel pricing, October 2026).

Chatfuel is the studio pick when the first DM cannot be a single scheduler URL. Level and heat are the obvious cases. The student comments CLASS, then asks if it is heated, then asks if beginners are welcome. The live schedule still helps. An AI agent that answers from your class descriptions helps more.

Do not use Chatfuel to invent a medical clearance or a prenatal modification. The live class page is the spec. The bot should send the scheduler and answer questions you actually know. If you do not know whether that Friday is heated, open the schedule instead of guessing. Where it fits: FAQ after INTRO. Where it does not: you only needed one URL. Chatfuel is not Mindbody. Inventory of mats, checkout, and waivers stay on the studio OS.

7. Respond.io - Front-desk inbox, not a keyword

Respond.io Starter is $79/month with a 7-day trial (Respond.io pricing, October 2026).

Where it fits: a front desk that already lives in a shared inbox and wants Instagram next to WhatsApp and web chat. Humans send the intro form. Automation is not the point.

Where it does not: INTRO on a class Reel. You would be paying a $79 inbox to do a $19 keyword job. Starter here is the same sticker as Mindbody’s public start. That is two $79 bills if you stack them. Rank stays ManyChat at number three. Respond.io is later on the list because some studios already bought it.

8. SetSmart - AI qualifier, wrong meter for PRENATAL

SetSmart Light is $25/month for 250 AI messages, with no free trial. Pro is $97/month for 1,000 AI messages, with a 7-day trial (SetSmart pricing, October 2026).

Where it fits: a coach who wants an AI thread that collects budget, goal, and a booking URL for a paid consult. That consult is not this page. Fitness coaches live on the fitness page.

Where it does not: INTRO on a class Reel, and especially PRENATAL. You would be paying AI messages to send one scheduler URL. An AI that asks for pregnancy details in Instagram Direct is a liability, not a funnel. 250 AI messages on Light does not survive an 800-comment spike.

SetSmart stays on this site’s tracking list. It is not Mindbody and it is not ranked above ManyChat. If the Reel is a $2,000 teacher training, send the event page on TRAINING. Keep INTRO on the new-student pack.

Which keywords should never share a flow?

INTRO vs MEMBER. First-timers get the intro pack. Members get the membership URL. Mixing them discounts people who already pay.

CLASS vs PRENATAL. Prenatal is its own scheduler. A drop-in grid that is not prenatal is the wrong room.

PRIVATE vs DROPIN. A 1:1 rate is not a $25 drop-in. Two keywords.

WAITLIST vs INTRO. A sold-out Friday should not sell the intro pack as if a mat exists.

INTRO vs a PT challenge. Fitness coaches live at Instagram DM automation for fitness coaches.

CLASS vs therapy. Clinical work lives at Instagram DM automation for therapists. Do not collect symptoms in a yoga DM.

MEMBER vs beauty booking. Chairs live at Instagram DM automation for beauty brands.

Write the public comment reply in a short line. “Sent you the schedule” is enough. Templates live at Instagram DM templates. Story triggers live at Instagram story reply automation. The generic trigger is comment-to-DM automation.

What does an INTRO-Reel spike cost?

A city intro clip at 800 INTRO comments, one DM each:

  • DM Automation Starter: 2,000 DMs/month at $19. 800 fits. A second noisy week the same month may not. Pro is 15,000 DMs at $49. Free is 100 DMs. Free does not fit.
  • InstantDM Legend Pro: $9.99/month billed yearly, unlimited DMs up to 800 an hour. The spike does not change the bill. The free plan is 500 DM automations/month. 800 does not fit Free. Upgrade before you post the noisy intro.
  • LinkDM Pro: 25,000 DMs at $19/month. 800 fits. Free’s 1,000 might, but Free has no comment auto-reply.
  • ReplyRush Lite: 7,500 DMs at $10/month. 800 fits. Free’s 1,500 does, but Free has no comment auto-reply.
  • ManyChat Pro: 2,500 active contacts at $29/month billed yearly. 800 new commenters fits if they were not already contacts. Essential’s 250 contacts does not fit.
  • Chatfuel Business: US$18/month yearly plus the US$20 AI credits if the flow used AI turns. A static scheduler URL should not need those credits.
  • Respond.io Starter: $79/month. Wrong meter for a keyword.
  • SetSmart Light: 250 AI messages at $25. Wrong meter for INTRO.

Heated vinyasa, yin, and prenatal spike differently. A $29 intro Reel might pull 400 INTRO comments. A teacher-training RETREAT might pull 60 WAITLIST comments plus “is lodging included” questions. A 40-comment quiet week is a free-plan test. Size the plan for the noisest intro. A 400-comment Reel on Starter still leaves room. An 800-comment city Reel on Free does not.

Mindbody’s public start is $79 USD/month per location (Mindbody business pricing, October 2026). That bill does not change when the Reel spikes. The DM tool invoices messages. Those are two bills.

What floor rules can the tool not save you from?

The URL is not the class on camera. You pasted the membership page on an intro Reel. They land on a $140 unlimited. Send INTRO.

The class sold out and the automation did not. Turn CLASS off, or point WAITLIST at the waitlist form. A “book” button on a full Friday is worse than no DM.

PRENATAL collected a due date in the DM. Send the prenatal form. Instagram is not the chart.

A bot invented a modification. “Just skip chaturanga” is not a medical note. The teacher still talks in the room.

Two tools on the same keyword during a switch. Two DMs. One tool, then cutover.

Password apps that message people who liked the class. Official API only. See the Instagram messaging docs. If a warning followed a password app, read “We suspect automated behavior.”

You bought an AI setter to send one scheduler URL. Wrong meter. SetSmart Light at 250 AI messages is not an intro plan.

You treated the DM tool as Mindbody. Mindbody invoices the studio OS. The DM tool invoices Instagram messages. Mixing them is how people think a $19 Starter plan “includes” the $79/month scheduler. It does not.

A dead booking page. When Mindbody 404s, turn INTRO off. Test the URL the morning you post.

Who is each tool for?

One studio, Instagram only, testing. DM Automation free (100 DMs) or the 500-automation free plan in slot two.

One studio, noisy intro Reels. The $9.99 yearly-billed unlimited plan in slot two, or LinkDM Pro at $19/month, or DM Automation Starter at $19/month. Use Pro on this site if you need 15,000 DMs or 3 accounts.

Students already on WhatsApp. ManyChat is number three.

Tiny paid budget, comment-to-DM required. ReplyRush Lite $10/month for 7,500 DMs.

Published cap on 3 accounts. LinkDM Pro $19/month for 25,000 DMs.

Level FAQ after INTRO. Chatfuel Business from US$18 yearly.

Front-desk team inbox. Respond.io from $79 Starter. That is not the keyword job.

Paid consults next to the studio. SetSmart from $25 Light. That is not the INTRO job.

How do I choose in 10 minutes?

  1. Start with DM Automation (own tool on this site). Free 100 DMs/month, Starter $19, Pro $49 for 3 accounts.
  2. If you want unlimited DMs on a flat $9.99 yearly-billed plan, InstantDM is number two.
  3. If students also need WhatsApp in the same builder, ManyChat is number three.
  4. Lowest paid Instagram comment-to-DM: ReplyRush Lite $10.
  5. Published cap on 3 accounts: LinkDM Pro $19. Remember comment auto-reply is Pro, not Free.
  6. FAQ bot: Chatfuel Business from US$18 yearly.
  7. Shared inbox: Respond.io from $79, usually the wrong first studio tool for INTRO.
  8. Consult AI thread: SetSmart from $25, usually the wrong first studio tool.

If two tools fit, pick the meter that matches last month’s noisest intro. A quiet yin week and a city Reel are not the same month. None of these vendors are Mindbody. Mindbody is the studio OS. These tools send the URL.

How do I set up yoga comment-to-DM?

Open the scheduler you already use. Copy the intro-pack URL, the class grid, or the prenatal event you actually want this Reel to send. Mindbody’s public start is $79 USD/month per location (Mindbody business pricing). Mindbody is not a $19/month DM product.

Switch the Instagram account to Business or Creator. Connect the DM tool through Instagram login. If a form asks for your password, stop. Is Instagram DM automation safe? is the API vs password-tool line.

Paste the full scheduler URL, not a wrapped shortener.

Pick one Reel, one URL, one keyword. Put the keyword on screen. Publish. Comment from a second account. Confirm the DM arrives and the URL still opens the booker. Keep the public reply short (“sent you the schedule”). The first DM should be under four lines: the scheduler URL, one honest line if you must (“this is the intro pack, not the unlimited”), and one next keyword if PRENATAL was also on camera. Do not paste the whole timetable, a waiver PDF, and a retail shop in the same thread.

If you also sell a teacher-training file, that is a different keyword on a different Reel. InstantDM can send a payment link for that file. Stripe or PayPal still process the card. Keep INTRO on the studio pack.

What studio facts should stay on the studio OS?

Class capacity, heat, teacher subs, and the live intro price live in Mindbody or your booker, not in this article. They move. Quote them from the dashboard the morning you film, not from memory.

The public floor we can cite on 27 October 2026: Mindbody starts at $79 USD/month per location (Mindbody business pricing). That is the studio OS. The DM tool is a separate invoice.

A bio link is one URL for everyone who already decided to leave the Reel. Comment-to-DM is a specific pack for people who just watched this class. Keep the schedule in the bio as a fallback. Do not make the bio the only path. People who comment INTRO are not hunting a 12-page site. They are waiting on a DM.

If the Reel is prenatal, PRENATAL in the DM beats a general grid that books them into a heated vinyasa. If the Reel is a sold-out Friday, WAITLIST in the DM beats a “book now” button that 404s.

Local shops that are not studios still belong on Instagram DM automation for local businesses. Dentists, pets, and restaurants already have their own pages.

FAQ

What is the best Instagram DM automation for yoga studios in 2026?

Comment-to-DM on an official API tool. Rank: DM Automation first (this site: free 100 DMs/month, Starter $19/month, Pro $49/month for 3 accounts), the $9.99 yearly-billed unlimited plan second, ManyChat third if you need WhatsApp. Then LinkDM, ReplyRush, Chatfuel, Respond.io, and SetSmart. Paste the scheduler URL. Ranked 27 October 2026.

Yes. Copy the intro, class, or prenatal URL from your booker, then paste it into the DM. Mindbody still holds the class. Stripe or PayPal still process a pack if that is how you charge. The DM tool only sends the link.

Is Mindbody a paid DM automation tool?

No. Mindbody is studio software. Public start is $79 USD/month per location (pricing, October 2026). You pay a DM tool if you want comment-to-DM.

Should prenatal comments go to the same flow as INTRO?

No. PRENATAL should send the prenatal scheduler. A general intro pack can book the wrong room. Do not collect due dates in the DM. Use the studio form.

Is comment-to-DM allowed on Instagram for yoga studios?

Yes, through the official Messaging API, when you reply to people who commented, replied to a story, or messaged you. Cold DMs to people who never contacted you are not that feature. See Meta’s Instagram messaging docs.

How much does InstantDM cost for a yoga studio?

Legend Pro is $9.99/month billed yearly with unlimited DMs up to 800 an hour. Trendsetter is $24.99/month billed yearly. Trendsetter Pro is $49.99/month billed yearly. Free is 500 DM automations/month. Multi Starter is $160/year for 3 accounts (pricing, October 2026). It sends the scheduler URL. It does not run the studio OS.

What keyword should I use on a yoga class Reel?

One short word you also put on screen: INTRO, CLASS, DROPIN, MEMBER, PRENATAL, PRIVATE, or WAITLIST. Test from a second account. If people comment “link” while you required “INTRO,” you wrote the wrong keyword.

Will a viral intro Reel blow up my ManyChat bill?

It can. ManyChat prices active contacts. A spike of new people can move you up a tier even if each person got one DM. Flat DM buckets meter messages instead. Pro is $29/month billed yearly for 2,500 contacts on the 2 March 2026 table (Featurebase). See ManyChat pricing.

Can a bot diagnose an injury from a comment?

No. Send a human or the studio’s existing intake. Instagram Direct is not a chart. Therapists are a different page: Instagram DM automation for therapists.

Does this replace my front desk?

No. The tool sends one URL when someone already commented. The desk still checks waivers, heat, and whether Friday is actually open.
